CCAP are exhibiting at this years  Woodhorn Winter Market  and plans are well under way!  Woodhorn’s annual market features a fabulous selection of gifts, food and produce from some of the region’s finest makers, crafters and producers. Entry to the Winter Market and Museum is free, on site parking is £3.50 per vehicle.  Today’s session produced some fantastic designs for hand screen printed cards, paper, tags and Christmas stockings.  The group plan to sell and exhibit a range of hand crafted gifts, made during their Monday morning get togethers.

Monday 17th 10-12noon, Miranda Peterson will be showing the group needle felting.

The workshop aims to explain and explore techniques in dry felt making over a 2 hour period. Learners will develop their skills and gain knowledge of using unspun, dyed sheep’s wool to produce their own colourful, handmade 3 dimensional pieces.

During the session we will be using a technique called ‘needle felting’. Learners will explore the process of dry felt making using barbed needles to sculpt and form dry unspun coloured woollen fibres, including blending fibres, to create small birds.

The tutor will guide each learner during the session as they develop their skills in needle felting, so that by the end of the session they will have produced their very own needle felted birds.

No experience is necessary, and all materials will be supplied.   Come along if you are interested and give it a go! Contact the group HERE.
